YOUR HUNTER SAFETY COURSE CAN NOW BE DONE ONLINE!

The ONLINE version of this course is NOW available! Ottawa Firearm Safety is proud to promote the NEW availability of this course.

This new Online Ontario Hunter Safety Course provides flexible, self-paced study.

Ottawa Firearm Safety does not offer the Ontario Hunter Safety Course. However, there is a NEW ONLINE version of the Ontario Hunter Safety Course that you can take – even before you get your firearms licence.

We REALLY recommend you take advantage of this rare opportunity to take the course ONLINE. It has never been easier to get your licence!

Ontario Hunter Safety Course Online:

  • self paced
  • cost is around $60
  • after you complete the course at your own pace, the exam is 50 multiple choice questions.
  • take your online result to a Service Ontario kiosk to get your temporary Outdoors Card (plastic version comes by mail later) – you can hunt the next day!

For more details click here.

Please note that this course will provide you with the accreditation to hunt with a bow. If you wish to hunt with a gun you must also have federal firearms accreditation (e.g. a PAL). If you have not previously taken the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) you will need to complete the CFSC when courses become available.

Please Note:

  • This will NOT permit you to hunt with a gun (unless you already have proof of firearms accreditation, such as a PAL or Minor’s Licence).
  • The option is for Ontario Residents only
